Our Plants
- We are pleased to offer a variety of locally grown native plants for the CNY area. Our plants are grown in Baldwinsville, NY from seeds both wildly collected and ecologically sourced. Please see our FAQ section for more information about seed sourcing.
- Our plant selection includes native flowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees. We also grow non-native herbs and annuals that provide benefits for pollinators and wildlife. All non-native plants grown are ones that have been shown to pose no threat to our ecosystem.
- Almost 100% of the plants we grow are "straight species", meaning they are not cultivated varieties ("cultivars") or hybridized varieties. The plants we grow are the most beneficial sources of pollen and nectar. Many are also larval host plants for local butterflies or beneficial for specialist bees.
- Our plants are ALWAYS pesticide and herbicide free. We do not support the use of chemicals, as this is detrimental to pollinators, wildlife, and our ecosystem.
